About me

My name is Molly, I am a 3rd year 3D design student at Manchester Metropolitan University. Growing up in beautiful North Wales I have been inspired by its rich culture and landscape and having worked within the tourist industry for many years and seen the positive effect it has on rural communities.

I have been heavily influenced by the world of souvenirs and the sentimental impact they have on individuals. This theme is prevalent across all my work, my designs are often personalised memento items reminding the owners of significant events; holidays, weddings and memories with loved ones.

In my most recent project I have been experimenting with using barrier grid animations in glass to materialise physical snapshots of a memory. I have also been working on transforming my landmark drawing into jewellery pieces through 3D printing and lost wax casting.
